Genies Plumbing was started by Blake, a plumber with over 13 years on the tools. He comes from a family where pride in the workmanship is not up for negotiation. Plumbing is not just what we do, it is in our blood.
He started it with one thing in mind: six star service, honest advice, and no shortcuts on any job. That sounds like something anyone would say. The difference is what it turned into once there was more than one van.
Every job is done by one of our own plumbers in one of our own vans. Nothing gets farmed out to whoever is cheapest that week. It is Blake, Mathew or Lachlan who turns up, three blokes with about 35 years between them, and it is the same faces on the same streets week after week. Your neighbours have probably already met them.
We work both sides of the M1. The Gold Coast strip gets covered daily and the Brisbane van works out of Wishart, so neither side is the one that gets fitted in when there is time.
The name is a bit of fun. The promise behind it is not. A plumbing problem is stressful, it always turns up at the wrong time, and most people have been stung at least once by a number that moved after the work started. That is the thing we built the business around not doing.
So the price gets agreed before anyone picks up a tool. There is no fee for turning up, and there is no charge for the quote whether you use us or not. If we open something up and find it is bigger than it looked, we stop and tell you what it is and what it costs, and you decide. You will never get an invoice with a number on it you have not already said yes to.
And if we clear your drain and it blocks again inside 30 days, we come back and clear it again for nothing. Nobody else around here puts that in writing, and we can, because we jet the line and put a camera down it either side rather than punching a hole through the middle and driving off.

The one you want when nobody can work out where the trouble is coming from. He will find it, tell you what caused it, and make sure the repair holds rather than clearing it and moving on.

Had an issue with our 16 year old toilet leaking from underneath the pan somewhere. Called Blake & he sent Lachlan out the following morning to diagnose & quote. Lachlan gave us 3 options, which was great. We chose the middle one, which included replacing all the internals, so hopefully we should be OK for another 16 years! Both Blake & Lachlan were great to deal with & Lachlan did a great job - definitely better than the original installation, which looked a bit dodgy! Happy to recommend.

Absolutely amazing service from the moment I got in touch with them, and in particular Blake. I explained to him my issue and he took the time and effort (completely unprompted) in providing steps of how he would tackle the problem. When it came time to actually have the issue physically looked at, Lachie gave me a call and let me know how far away he was; he arrived promptly and on-time, and was able to very quickly diagnose and provide a solution. I was quoted on the spot and not pressured whatsoever to have more things looked at than I needed to, which I very much appreciated. While I've got my fingers crossed to not have any further short-term issues with my property's plumbing, I'd wholeheartedly recommend these guys and gals to anyone willing to listen. I'm sure there are many other great plumbing businesses around the Gold Coast, but for my money I'd much rather support a local family-owned business providing a very honest and transparent service, who also aren't looking to bleed your wallet dry.
Very happy with the service from Genies Plumbing. We had a leaking kitchen tap and Blake was out in a couple of hours. He sourced a new one, came back later in the day and fitted it. He advised his arrival times very efficiently and was friendly and polite. Would certainly recommend him and call on him again when necessary.

I live in a unit complex and had to get my hot water system replaced as it was old and also to meet the current standards and regulations. I contacted the boys at Genies Plumbing. Blake and Lachlan assisted us with a very complex realignment. They were brilliant. They took the time to explain everything, kept me updated with any issues that arose, kept on time and impressively on budget. They could not have worked harder to resolve our issues. I called Blake to help locate a tricky water leak on our acreage property, he quickly identified multiple leaks on both the council and our side of the line and got them all fixed. He kept us informed every step of the way, and was incredibly responsive and professional, and a genuinely nice person. He's also helping put together a storm water system to help manage the water drainage away from the house during storms. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Blake for any plumbing job, big or small.
Had some plumbing work done by Blake from Genies Plumbing — removal of an old water meter and repair/replacement of some leaking pipework. Communication was great from start to finish, he was prompt, friendly, well priced, and made sure everything was cleaned up afterwards. Really happy with the work.
